Magma Soap CP and MP

This was a very different soap for me to make.  As with all soaps I make here lately there were good things and there were bad things that happened.  First this was a fast moving trace and after fragrance was put in the black color soap really thickened up on me so that I was not able to make the swirls on the top that I wanted to make.  Second, I was using a melt and pour soap along with the Cold process which was a very unique idea given to me by www.soapqueen.com  who truly is THE QUEEN!  After I poured everything in I was told to put the soap in the fridge for two hours so that the MP would not be melted by the CP...very interesting!

When cutting it up I loved the unique look of the soap and the fragrance is AMAZING!

The ingredients of this soap: Castor Oil, Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Palm Oil, Clear MP, Sodium Hydroxide, Activated Charcoal (for color) Super Pearly White Mica, Electric Bubble Gum Colorant and Moroccan Mint Fragrance, Spearmint Ess Oil, Energy Fragrance Oil...truly a calming and wonderful scent!

Doesn't look pretty to start eh?

This will be the last soap that will be ready for craft fair...however, this coming week I will be making three new soap...or the next week?? One will be a face soap, the other a shampoo bar and the last one will be a new technique that I may or may not be able to accomplish!

Have a GREAT smelling day!

Cutting Up Salty Soap

This was quite a different soap to cut up.  I had to do things a bit differently and with the added Himalayan Sea Salt it was a bit more difficult to cut up!

First thing was to turn the soap log over and cut it from the underneath side that way the sea salt that was on the top would not go flying all over the kitchen as I cut!

The colors are glorious and I'm quite happy with how it turned out...it should be ready to go by the time we go to Art Craft Fair!

Have a great smelling day!

The ingredients of this soap: Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Palm Oil, Shea Butter, Sodium Hydroxide, Lemongrass Essential Oil, Eucalyptus Essential Oil, Small Pink Himalayan Salt, Coarse Himalayan Salt, Fuchsia Labcolor, White Mica.....

I can't wait to try this soap!

Salty Cold Process Soap

This was an interesting soap to make...dividing up in three containers using a labcolor and micas and also sea salt..

Adding the labcolor and the salt made the soap set up fast and I wish I would have had a thinner trace to work with.  I also had a labcolor that I should have diluted a little more...it should be more pink than red...but other than that....I think it turned out well...we shall see tomorrow!

I am getting ready for a craft fair and hoping to have at least six different soaps and lip balm and lotion bars....and then I probably will have shampoo bars and one face soap...don't know if that's going to get done but certainly going to try!

My children wanted to know if they could eat it:) Tomorrow is cut up day and I will share ingredients and pics of how it turned out!

Have a great smelling day!

Cutting Up the Four Colors Soap!

Here it is! My favorite day...well...not in the WHOLE wide world day...but it is really fun when you get to first cut into that huge bar of soap that you worked so hard on...its like...when I ran my first three miles without fainting kind of feeling....but WITHOUT the sweat...and the panting:)

This soap has the following ingredients: Sweet Almond Oil, Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Palm Oil, Palm Kernel Flakes, Orange Grove Fragrance, Pigments

It was a really fun soap to make! Can't wait to see how these do at the craft fair!
